The One Pearl of Great Price
Christian Science is the “one pearl of great price.” Its creator is the divine Principle, God, Mind; and its discoverer and founder is Mary Baker Eddy, the author of the Christian Science textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
John W. Doorly is the Christian Scientist who first discerned the scientific details and spiritual meaning of the divine system of this Science embedded in and permeating the Bible and Science and Health. Peggy M. Brook, W. Gordon Brown and Dr. Max Kappeler are three Christian Scientists, who studied with Doorly, researched, further developed, elucidated, taught and made their mark and significant contributions to the dissemination of divine Science during and beyond Doorly’s earthly career.
Today, as the idea of Christian Science continues to unfold in human consciousness, Eddy’s written works, Doorly’s teachings and his students’ many contributions enable sincere seekers for Truth to hop on this train of discovery, partake of and contribute to the further unfoldment of Christian Science in the world.
The Purpose of this Website
The purpose of this website is to provide information about Christian Science that will help honest seekers for Truth study independently and systematically the divine Science of being. This is done to answer fundamental questions, such as: What is reality? What is being? What is truth? What constitutes the harmony of being? Is it possible to be one with reality, to experience true harmony, to know the truth of being? How and by what practical methods can this be achieved? How can these methods be learned?

In the Preface to Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy says: “The time for thinkers has come” (SH, vii:13). Indeed! The time has come to scientifically and spiritually understand and know God, Being and thus our true heritage and own being. Therefore, as the prophet Isaiah says, “Come now, and let us reason together.” (KJV, Isaiah 1:18).
